I can't sleep

“I can’t sleep sometimes,” he told me.  “You know how I am.”
“Sometimes, I think you’re afraid to fall asleep because when you do, you can see all the demons of your past.”
He started to cry.
“I’ll never let them get you,” I promised him.

I’m the only person you can cry in front of.  The person who makes you feel the most special in the world, and the person who makes you feel beautiful.

You’re sad.  I hold you in my arms. Soak up your pain through my skin and make it dissolve.  Rub your back and sooth you with my touch.  Wrap my arms around you and envelop you so that nothing will ever hurt you.  I can take away your pain if you let me.
